Growing up in Cape Town, Alexander developed his photographic eye capturing the interplay between towering mountains and crashing ocean waves – a natural playground of shifting light and endless perspective.
His move to Berlin introduced new visual languages: architectural lines, constructed environments and the dialogue between space and subject. Today Alex’s work bridges natural and built worlds. On set he maintains an almost zen-like calm that’s impressively unshakeable. Hours in he’s still focused, still capturing the perfect shot with a deep respect for light, place and people.
Alex is based in Berlin and Cape Town and works as a photographer as well as a directing DOP.
